ICD pioneer Jim Murry passes away

By the time I arrived at ICD in 2004, Jim Murry had long since moved on.

But his legend always remained.

I can vividly remember sitting in staff meetings while Harmon, Cindy and Jerry regaled us with stories of his grandiosity.

He came across as a larger-than-life figure and someone with a deep, deep passion for the labor movement. His drive helped shape the Career Development Program into what it is today.

Jim Murry, ICD's first Executive Director, passed away this past Monday at the age of 85.
