Des Moines shows off new center

The USW/Bridgestone Americas-Des Moines Career Development Program hosted an Open House on Sept. 22 and 24, to welcome members to its new learning center.

The facility features a computer lab along with a mechanic shop.  The shop area will allow automobile mechanic classes to take place and includes welding equipment. 

Executive Director Al Long and Program Specialist Korey Fiste attended from the ICD National Office.

What a great job by the LJC -- Steve Vonk, Laurie Chapman, Abbie Jones, Jillian Havran -- and program coordinator Stacey Glenn-Bradley in creating such an outstanding learning environment for the members of Local 310.
